Welcome to Seabrook

Seabrook is the southernmost town on the New Hampshire coast, a Rockingham County community on the Massachusetts line and the first town drivers reach heading north on Interstate 95. Its eastern end is Seabrook Beach on the Atlantic, and the town is best known as the site of Seabrook Station, a nuclear plant running since 1990. Seabrook NH real estate takes in both the inland town and the beach area, between Hampton Falls to the north and Salisbury, Massachusetts, to the south.

Living in Seabrook, NH

Seabrook Beach, a census-designated place of its own, fills the eastern end of town along the ocean. Inland, the Blackwater, the Browns River and the Hampton Falls River all flow north or east into Hampton Harbor, while the southwestern corner drains through Lucy Brook to the Back River in Massachusetts. The high ground is Grape Hill, at 217 feet, whose summit sits just over the line in Salisbury. The town has a long-noted local accent, often called the Brookah accent, that writers have compared to rural English speech and tied to its fishing past. Seabrook Greyhound Park ended live racing in 2009 and now runs as a gaming venue under another name. Because consumer fireworks are legal in New Hampshire but not in Massachusetts, the I-95 corridor here is lined with fireworks stores.
