Living in Windsor, NH

Before incorporation the land was known as Campbell's Gore, after grantee John Campbell, and when the town was formed in 1798 it took the name of his hometown, Windsor, Connecticut. The town was made from land left over from the surrounding Hillsborough County towns, and its neighbors are Hillsborough lies to the east, Antrim to the south, Stoddard to the southwest and Washington to the northwest. The summit of Windsor Mountain rises to 1,604 feet. Summer programs are based in town as well, including Windsor Mountain International, an adventure and travel camp founded in 1961, and Windsor Hills Camp and Retreat Center. Because the town is so small, homes and land come up for sale only occasionally, and current listings appear on this page.
